Blind Hollow Snowshoe, 20 January 2018 Ten (and a half) snowshoers left Logan at about 10:10am for a snowshoe-only trip up Blind Hollow in Logan Canyon. Participants included: Susan (leader), Dave P, Dave W, Jane, Christine, Carol, Gordon, Laurel, Mathew, Patricia, and baby Thatcher. The sky was overcast with light to intermittent snow. The sun made a few attempts to break through the clouds but to no avail. A few inches of new snow from an overnight storm on top of a mostly solid crust made the trek fairly easy. The group left the Blind Hollow parking area about 10:40am and followed ski tracks up 1.5 miles to the lunch spot (about 12:15pm) returning to Logan at about 2:10pm. We originally thought that the overnight storm might call for a change of plans, however, after consulting UDOT and Beaver Mountain websites it was determined that the road through Logan Canyon would be fine. Roads were wet and the temperature was pleasant. Trip Summary:
Thanks to Susan for the narrative, Dave P. for photos and Dave W. for photos and the GPS data.
